Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiac Advanced Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Cardiac Advanced Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive cardiovascular care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. This role requires advanced clinical knowledge, excellent decision-making skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

* Conduct thorough cardiac assessments, including medical history review, physical exams, and diagnostic tests interpretation.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with cardiac conditions, in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
* Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations.
* Prescribe medications, adjust dosages, and monitor patients' responses to treatment.
* Educate patients and their families on cardiac health, treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases, treatment plans, and outcomes.
* Provide follow-up care to monitor patients' progress, address concerns, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
* Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, assessments, treatments, and progress notes.
* Stay updated on the latest advancements in cardiac care through continuing education, conferences, and professional development activities.
* Adhere to legal and ethical standards of practice, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and documentation guidelines.

Qualifications

Education:

* Master's degree or higher Nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from an accredited program.
* Current certification as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-AC NP or Acute Care NP), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in cardiology.
* State licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
* Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in cardiology or a related field.
* Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to interpret complex cardiac tests and imaging studies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
* Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other healthcare technologies.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice in cardiac care.

Licensure/Certification: Current BLS certification required. ACLS certification within 60 days of hire.

Experience: Cardiology experience preferred.
