PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Must be physically able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects weighing a minimum of 10 to 20 pounds, frequently.

2. Must be physically able to sit for extended periods of time however, will involve walking and/or standing for brief periods of time.

3. Must be physically able to perceive the nature of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, providing oral information, and the manual dexterity to operate equipment necessary to fulfill the duties of this position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Including, but not limited to the following)

1. Provide accounting services essential to the preparation, administration, supervision and control areas responsible for as found in the USFR, Fair Labor Standards Act and District Policies.

2. Report to the Business Office Manager the amounts of warrants drawn, the accounts against which the warrants have been drawn, and the balance of each account per month.

3. Ensure information obtained through the course of duties associated with this position is held in the highest of confidentiality.

4. Refer non-job specific inquiries to appropriate departments.

5. Prepare financial and other budget reports as required by School Board and auditors.

6. Prepare payrolls, including deductions for withholding tax, retirement, social security, insurance, and other salary deductions as required or authorized.

7. Prepare and maintain all necessary earnings, deductions and associated personnel payment records and reports.

8. Cooperate with the auditors and provide information as requested for the appropriate department function.

9. Other duties as assigned.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

The Payroll Specialist reports to the Business Office Manager. The Payroll Specialist will interact cooperatively with all other staff positions. All elements of good human relations will be practiced.
