Rate of pay: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour

Serves in the place of the Director of Early Intervention in his/her absence. Engages in proactive quality assurance activities to ensure appropriate clinical and therapeutic supports and offered to families and their children. Supervises Clinical Staff, Consultants, and Service Coordinators. Must meet the educational requirements as an Early Intervention Level 2 Practitioner.

Responsibilities

Protects the rights and dignities of individuals with developmental disabilities and extend these rights and dignities to family members or guardians.

Upholds and complies with all safety programs and policies to maintain a safe work environment for employees, clients, family members and visitors.

Commits to organizational quality initiatives by participating in programs that will assure quality improvements and team processes.

Supervises and directs staff towards the development and maintenance of high-quality supportive services. Reviews findings with the Early Intervention Director. This includes mentoring staff by following through on timely performance appraisals, discipline, and interview and hiring processes.

Provides supervision that allows reflection in order to support staff development.

Participates in the treatment planning process and monitoring process in meeting the goals and objectives of the IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) when the case warrants additional clinical expertise.

Serves as a resource to EI staff in identifying and locating necessary medical, educational and developmental support for Early Intervention participants.

Ensures that EI staff documents all activities in accordance with the requirements necessary for billing, agency policies or Early Intervention regulations.

Provides direct and/or indirect Early Intervention services as qualified, when directed.

Assists Director in facilitating staff development activities, including staff meetings and training needed to support changing regulations and new initiatives.

Works with EI Management Team, including the Director and Clinical Supervisors, to review and manage the assignment and execution of cases such that all mandatory timelines are met, and that all documentation is accurate and in accordance with State regulations.

Participates in required State supervisor seminar meetings.

Maintains professional knowledge through participation in professional organizations, conferences and in-services. Participates in inter-and intra- departmental meetings; works in cooperation with others to promote the personal wellbeing of those served; conducts in-services and trainings as needed; provides training in varied forms including modeling on site; arranges for professional development of support staff.

Follows all agency guidelines and department specific policies, i.e. sick time or vacation time usage and call policies, dress codes, etc. as specified in personnel manual and Early Intervention specific procedures.

Coordinates and chairs, when necessary, team or specific case meetings. Participates in interagency activities and statewide meetings as appropriate and directed.

Complete and maintain all required trainings, certifications and licensures.

Safeguard sensitive and confidential data.

Actively promote and positively role model philosophy, mission, and core values of the organization. Treat individuals served, associates, guests and other stakeholders in a respectful and dignified manner.

Respond effectively to potential safety hazards and emergencies. Maintain a clean, orderly and safe environment by being respectful of property and equipment. Follow proper maintenance and safety protocols.

Be familiar with and actively promote all Seven Hills' policies and procedures, the site's program specific policies and procedures and the regulations governing the program.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education, Child Development, Early childhood Education, social work, psychology, communication disorders, nutrition, or a related Early Intervention field preferred.

Continued education to maintain license or certification, as well as ongoing education, as specified in the Early Intervention certification standards in effect at the time of employment required. 3-5 years' experience providing interventions to infants and toddlers (birth to age three) in a family focused, home based setting; experience in the multidisciplinary provision of supports.

Must have a valid driver's license, safe driving record, automobile insurance and own vehicle to be used as directed and when needed for transportation.

Must have and maintain pediatric CPR certification.
