REPORTS TO: Director of Equity and Inclusion

TERMS OF POSITION: Devotes an average of three hours per week or 12 hours per month to culturally responsive and sustaining district and school-specific work. DEFINITION: Equity Coaches are faculty representatives whose role extension exists to expand the individualized impact of culturally responsive and sustaining staff development and student programming in D86. The Equity Coach works cooperatively with the entire staff and the D86 Equity and Inclusion ,provides leadership in the area of culturally responsive & sustaining professional development while also supporting departmental personnel and other staff as needed. The Equity Coach shall work cooperatively with departmental teachers, other coaches, and administrators to recommend and consult structural change and initiatives to the building principal or designee.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Active Illinois Licensure through ISBE

2. Instructional experience with CRS practices (preferred) in appropriate related field

3. Demonstrated desire and commitment to actively collaborate and plan equity efforts in the district and its schools
