Radiography Instructor

We are seeking a part-time Radiography Instructor who will provide didactic instruction and clinical supervision of radiography students while on clinical assignment.

This is a part-time hourly position.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

* Conduct clinical site orientation at the clinical education center.
* Track student clinical progress and provide feedback to students in a timely manner.
* Supervise radiography students performing patient care tasks in the clinical setting.
* Equitably prepare a semester schedule of room assignments that provide students with the opportunity to meet clinical objectives.
* Provide direct or indirect supervision of students performing radiography procedures.
* Prepare, discuss, and submit a signed midterm and final evaluation of each student on the specified due date each semester.
* Conduct image evaluation sessions with students following performance of radiographic procedures.
* Maintain electronic clinical competency records for all students.
* Enforce program and clinical education center policies equitably and consistently.
* Alert students and program officials of any clinical deficiencies and conduct conference with the student to address the deficiency, through mechanisms established by the program.
* Integrate classroom and clinical experiences.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:

* Current New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Diagnostic Radiography license.
* Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography
* Minimum 2 years experience as diagnostic radiographer.
* Teaching in a clinical setting preferred.
