Salary: $1,241 - $1,670 Biweekly

ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating, 40 hour work week Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities

Prepare job ads, screen applications, review position vacancies for consistency, interact with departments regarding recruitment, make applicant referrals, answer payroll questions, provide information on personnel policies, and conduct training. Provide Human Resource support by acting as a recruitment consultant to hiring managers and applicants regarding the City's recruitment and selection process. Prepare employment advertisements and placement in various publications, newspapers, and websites. Review and approve assigned requisitions for accuracy in accordance with job description questionnaire. Manually screen applications for minimum qualifications. Provide excellent customer service by phone, email, or in person to Internal and External customers. Provide classroom and one on one E-Recruit training to new and existing hiring managers. Travel to various city work sites/departments to assist customers. Attend job fairs as assigned. Prepare applicants for new employee orientation by extending a job offer; run background checks/motor vehicle checks, drug screens and physicals. Enter new and re-hired employees, payroll changes, and terminations. Maintain a spreadsheet status report of all current requisitions. Maintain kiosk coverage on rotation by answering internal and external recruitment questions, assisting applicants with the electronic application process, look up accounts and reset passwords. Create job descriptions and provide to various departments when requested. Answer questions regarding City policies. Assist with various H.R. projects as assigned. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requires an Associate's Degree with two (2) years of work related experience. A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

Closing Statement

Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.

Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.
