KCPC OD Physician

Job Description:

Under broad policies established by the Medical Director, provides on-call comprehensive psychiatric and medical care to the patients of KCPC; including taking referrals from outside hospitals/jails, admission of patients, physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up care for medical conditions of patients, as well as attending to any emergency need throughout the entire hospital while on-call. Performs all tasks and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner; other related duties as assigned. This position is required to understand and follow all patient safety policies and procedures, to participate in required patient safety training programs, to support and abide by the national patient safety goals as interpreted and applied to this hospital, abides by the Medical Staff By-laws and to do all that is reasonable to prevent injury to patients, employees, the facility, and the general public.
