Registered Respiratory Therapist

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the managers of the Cardiopulmonary Department, performs automated and manual departmental procedures to test and monitor patients in the treatment and diagnosis of disease. Performs supervisory responsibilities as designated by department manager. # Position Qualifications: Minimum Education: Respiratory Therapy degree from an accredited school Required Certification/Registration: Required license/certification RRT Credential from the National board of Respiratory care NALS, PALS, ACLS certification Physical Demands: Prolonged, frequent or considerable standing/walking Pushes/pulls or moves/lifts heavy equipment/supplies Working Conditions: May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases Regularly exposed to the risk of bloodborne diseases Exposed to hazardous anesthetic agents, body fluids and wastes Subject to hazards of flammable, explosive gases
