Job Summary: This position is responsible for performing rebuild and/or repair of heavy equipment power train components following established procedures and guidelines. Works independently or as a member of a team to provide mechanical services that satisfy customer needs and achieves departmental goals.

Entry-level to Advanced-Level with demonstrated job relevant knowledge/skills. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job; works under moderate supervision.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Essential Functions:

* Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
* Performs some disassembly and assembly of machine power train components to manufacturer's specifications through the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized tooling
* Performs some rebuilding, repairing, reconditioning, and maintenance of equipment and components
* Demonstrates basic knowledge of estimating, planning, and controlling the cost of repair jobs
* Completes parts orders and identifies parts for return
* Maintains all equipment and work areas - keeps in good, clean, and orderly condition
* Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
* Works overtime as required by workload and customers' needs
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; e.g., ProTech Technician Training Paths
* Requires regular and punctual employee attendance

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
* Demonstrates proficiency with current computer software, related hardware, and machine electronic systems
* Quality control analysis skills - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
* Operation and control skills - Controlling operations of equipment or systems
* Equipment selection skills - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
* Ability to operate a forklift and an overhead crane
* The ability to quickly and repeatedly operate the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions
* Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in a mechanical repair
* The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
* The ability to read, write, and understand information
* The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
* Must be attentive to detail

Additional Requirements:

* Must have/acquire basic mechanic hand and pneumatic tools (metric/standard)
* Safety Training and task training

Education and Experience:

* High school diploma or equivalent, accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program preferred
* Demonstrated job relevant knowledge/skills preferred
* On-going Safety Training required

* None

Travel:

* No travel is expected for this position

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
* Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
* Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
* Ascends/descends with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climbs up and down ladders and/or equipment
* Be able to maneuver safely and work underneath equipment
* Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals,
