Edgewood, United States St. Elizabeth HealthCare Full time

The position works in direct collaboration with St. Elizabeth Healthcare's Magnet Certified Cancer Center and our NAPBC certified Breast Center. Opening its doors in October 2020, the Cancer Center at St. Elizabeth is the largest provider of cancer care in Northern Kentucky, with 236,000 square feet dedicated to diagnosing and treating cancer. Within the Center, you will find a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence with over 30 years of mammography imaging experience and 20 years of providing multidisciplinary care to breast cancer patients. Six screening mammography sites and two mobile mammography vans performed nearly 43,000 screens in 2021, leading to more than 8,000 diagnostic mammograms, 7,800 breast ultrasounds and 400 new cases of breast cancer. 1,680 breast procedures were performed in 2021, 250 of which were assisted by the use of Savi Scout technology.

All new cancer cases are supported by active Surgical, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Precision Medicine, Research, Integrative Medicine, and Nurse Navigation programs. The Clinical Research Department employs two Research Coordinators devoted to breast cancer protocols and nine Genetic Counselors and a Breast Cancer Medical Oncologist are part of the Precision Medicine team. Collaboration efforts are available and encouraged in both Research and Precision Medicine.

Breast Program growth and development is driven by a dedicated administrative Director and an active breast cancer Disease Management Team, leading to forward thinking initiatives such as a Same Day Biopsy Program and Universal germline genetic testing for all new breast cancers. Surgical provider input is encouraged as an essential component of the Disease Management Team, ensuring all stakeholders are at the table to drive real change towards an excellent provider and patient experience.
