Job Summary:
Are you passionate about promoting mental health awareness and supporting communities in accessing mental health resources? Join our team at Preferred Family Healthcare as a Mental Health Awareness Coordinator
In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for community organizations, providing information, technical assistance, and training resources to enhance mental health awareness in the assigned geographic area. You will coordinate mental health awareness trainings, contribute to grant management, and participate in conferences and trainings to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for community organizations in the assigned geographic area for mental health awareness trainings.
* Provide information, technical assistance, and training resources to enhance mental health awareness.
* Coordinate planning, implementation, and evaluation of mental health awareness training grant activities.
* Contribute to the development and updating of a mental health training calendar.
* Prepare and submit reports to the Project Director, including monthly referral reports and Mental Health First Aid updates.
* Participate in national mental health conferences and other required trainings.
* Assist with the development of the final annual report and quality improvement initiatives.
* Attend conferences and internal in-services as required.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in social work, counseling, public health, education, psychology, community development, public administration, or a closely related field, with at least one (1) year of professional experience in a social service agency; OR
* Associate's Degree in education, public health, psychology, community development, public administration, or a closely related field, with at least two (2) years of professional experience in a social service agency
Additional Qualifications:
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Knowledge of mental health policies, procedures, and regulations.
* Experience with grant management and reporting preferred.
* Familiarity with Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aid programs or willingness to obtain certification within the first four months of hire.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about best practices in mental health awareness.
