Job Summary:

HCA Forward Pathology Solutions is currently seeking a full-time AP/CP Pathology Medical Director to join our team at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, Florida.

Qualified Candidates:

* AP/CP certification or board eligibility
* At least three (3) years of hospital-based experience is preferred
* Active Florida Medical License and/or FCVS is a plus
* Comfortable with the full scope of AP and CP
* The successful candidate must work cooperatively within diverse environments, have excellent interpersonal skills, and successfully establish and maintain positive relationships with hospital medical staff, technical staff and referring physicians
* Surgical volumes - approximately 3,500 per year
* Cytology - 600 per year
* Procedures (frozen sections and rapid on site assessments) - less than 7 per week
* Peripheral smears - approximately 4 per day
* Blood bank reviews - less than 1 per week
* Other Pertinent Information: Bayonet Point has approximately 290 beds with a Level II trauma center and a variety of anatomic pathology specimens including GI, head/neck, GU and thoracic.
