IntePros is currently looking for an Associate Scientist to join a leading designer and manufacturer of medical products in Exton, PA. In this role, the Associate Scientist will support multiple internal and external customers under guidance and supervision (either Manager or Sr. Scientist). It provides testing and analysis under the assignment by the senior members in the scientific Insights lab. This role also participates in projects, teams and studies in applicable technical areas as needed.

Associate Scientist Responsibilities:
  • Perform analysis using various techniques including established and experimental test methods.
  • Use instrumentation both qualitatively and quantitatively where appropriate.
  • With guidance, support and supervision in completing projects from protocol to final report.
  • Develop and validate methods with guidance and supervision.
  • Possess ability to work independently and as part of a team with self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Assist in preparation of technical reports.
  • Assist in preparation of work instructions, SOPs, and qualification documentation.
  • Assist in lab study design and preparation in study plans and protocols.
  • Willingness to learn and apply new analytical techniques.
  • Apply required cGMP regulations and internal QA procedures
  • Adhere to established laboratory safety procedures.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Associate Scientist Qualifications:
  • Education or Equivalent Experience: Bachelor's in a technical field (Chemistry/Biology/Engineering) or 5+ years of experience in related fields, eg. pharmaceutical or medical device industry
  • Experience: 0-3 years of experience
  • Skills & Competencies: proactive, competitive, presentation, communication, analytical, prioritization, detail oriented, personal accountability, sense of urgency
  • With supervision and guidance, works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability and willingness to learn and comprehend technical information
  • Able to connect with others and manage relationships
  • Ability to identify internal and external client needs and perform tests to meet the needs
  • Ability to work in a virtual environment in a global organization
  • Excellent English language skills (written/oral)

Associate Scientist Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Wet chemistry knowledge and techniques such as Pipetting, Titrations, and Extractions
  • cGMP experience
  • Tensile, force, compression or other compendial physical testing experience. Instron and/or Bluehill software knowledge is a plus.
  • Able to be maintain focus over extended periods of time
  • Able to manipulate and visualize small, sharp objects

Associate Scientist Physical & Mental Requirements:
  • Job-related activities that require a physical activity such as standing in laboratory environment
  • Use hands to manipulate, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
  • Employee must have good color vision acuity
  • Employee may be required to lift heavy objects (up to 25 lbs) without assistance
  • Job-related activities that require a mental skill or ability such as communication, quick decision making, interpreting data, reading or writing, public speaking, etc. (e.g., Must be able to express or exchange ideas with employees; Must be able to understand direction and adhere to established procedures)
  • Must be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritize
