Qualifications: BA/BS in related field or High School diploma (or equivalent) with one year of related experience with the population. Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with youth. Excellent mentorship and role modeling skills Computer literacy and skill in the use of computers and related software applications. Ability to consistently meet all necessary background and credentialing requirements. Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old and possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work and for the transportation of clients to and from appointments and activities as needed. Must have a reliable telephone notification system for emergency contact.

Must be proficient in English and possess and convey effective verbal and written communication skills with residents, staff and service providers. Demonstrate sound judgment and effective, solution focused, problem solving skills. Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with residents, staff, co-workers and supervisor. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural groups.

Physical and Mental Demands: Frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching and lifting to carry out job responsibilities. Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle as needed. Ability to work a flexible work schedule contingent upon program needs. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with periods of high stress. Ability to physically carry out Crisis Prevention Intervention techniques.

Responsibilities:

1. Daily facilitation and coordination of program movement and youth engagement in executing the plan of the day in accordance with program, DYS, DEEC and ECHS policies and procedures.

2. Conduct documented supervision of assigned staff.

3. Participate in the development and implementation of Individual Service Plans.

4. Assist youth with meeting treatment goals.

5. Serve as a positive role model, mentor and advocate for youth.

6. Maintain therapeutic boundaries throughout all interactions.

7. Attend staff and shift change meetings and trainings as required.

8. Facilitate milieu events as well as daily youth movement.

9. Assist youth in identifying interests and skills within community service opportunities and

activities, as indicated.

10. Submit timely, complete, legible and accurate documentation as required.

11. Safely transport residents to activities, appointments, school, work, and visits.

12. Serve as an advocate for assigned youth. Meet with assigned youth weekly and provide advocate notes regarding the youth's perspective and assessment of their respective week.

13. Ensure safety and security of the program including security checks.

14. Monitor and report on program culture. Report serious incidents to on-site supervisor or on-call staff.

15. Assist in maintenance and cleanliness of the facility.

16. Work with outside consultants and funding source personnel as necessary.

17. Participate in performance evaluations.

18. Assist with crisis management and utilize CPI skills.

19. Ensure consistency in program and individual activities and schedules.

20. Ensure that all documentation is completed by the end of shift in accordance with regulatory and ECHS policy and procedures.

21. Maintain a flexible schedule to allow for programmatic needs.

22. Maintain and adhere to ECHS policy/ procedures regarding consumer confidentiality, ensuring that: records are maintained in a locked area and access is limited; clinical conversations occur in an area where the information cannot be overheard by others; privileged information regarding a client is not given verbally or otherwise without the client/guardian's written consent

23. Responsible for promoting and upholding the principles of Corporate Compliance and the ECHS Corporate Compliance program. Adhere to all ECHS policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality, and HIPPA.

24. Obtain and maintain current certifications in CPR, First Aid, CPI, Suicide Prevention and all other required training. Ensure that all certificates are current and provide required documentation to the Agency.

25. Act in an ethical, legal, and responsible manner, following all applicable ECHS policies, state/federal laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.

26. Respect the diversity of others by demonstrating and modeling cultural awareness and sensitivity at all times.

27. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
