Bosch-Charleston has been a producer of innovative products and Mobility Solutions for nearly 50 years. Our facility delivers power & life-saving technology to the automotive market through Gasoline Injection Systems and Electronic Stability Control. The recent addition of e-Motor production will drive the future generations of electric and hybrid vehicles.

Required Education

* Bachelor's degree

Required Qualifications

* 3+ years of health, safety, or environmental experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
* Technical experience with driving programs such as Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Electrical Safety
* 2+ years of MS Office experience to include Excel and Word
* Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

* B.S. in Engineering, Sciences, Occupational Safety, Environmental, or other related field
* Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Professional Engineer, or other related certifications
* Knowledge of Safety and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OSHA VPP)

Essential Functions

* Support and drive OSHA VPP culture at the facility
* Organize and hold safety and health campaigns for the facility
* Develop/revise health and safety related policies/procedures for the plant and drive implementation
* Develop health and safety related communication, including training, safety alerts, and production review meetings
* Interact with state and federal agencies and consultants to ensure compliance with SC OSHA regulations
* Conduct hazard assessments of equipment/jobs to ensure they meet all applicable requirements
* Assist/lead change management tasks and conduct machine release inspections
* Assist and lead safety audits of key program areas to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Bosch Norms
* Coordinate safety related communication, including training, alerts, and production review meetings
* Lead/take part in Incident Investigation, facilitating root cause analysis and proper corrective and preventative actions
* Participate in/lead plant emergency response teams
* Provide leadership and guidance to the plant safety teams
* Perform other tasks as assigned
