Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Performs Nuclear Medicine examinations for diagnostic and therapeutic (site specific) purposes under the direction of a physician. Prepares patient, prepares and administers prescribed dose of radioactive pharmaceuticals and non-radioactive pharmaceuticals, performs calculations and manipulates data according to established parameters. Ensures proper preparation and/or ordering of radioactive material, calibrates equipment, assures appropriate quality control, monitors patients and performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

* Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
* upon hire: Oregon Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Or
* upon hire: Oregon Nuclear Medicine Technologist Temporary.
* upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
* within 6 months (180 days) of hire National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology. Or
* within 6 months (180 days) of hire National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
* upon hire: New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire..
* upon hire: New graduates must be board eligible and obtain certification ARRT(N) or NMTCB within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

* 2 years Clinical experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
* Minimum 1 year experience in Nuc Med post qualification.
