**Job Title:** Greenhouse Technician

**Location:** Johnston, Iowa

**Pay Range:** $22.00/hour

**What's the Job?**

+ Daily greenhouse plant care, including seeding, pollinating, transplanting, watering, harvesting, and seed handling for various crops such as corn, soybean, wheat, canola, and others.

+ Punch or cut and store small samples of plant tissue for laboratory analysis, maintaining proper storage conditions and sample identity.

+ Assist with experiments, data collection, and record-keeping to support ongoing research projects.

+ Perform routine greenhouse sanitation tasks, including discarding regulated material and waste removal.

+ Maintain a professional, clean, and safe work environment while meeting all compliance standards.

**What's Needed?**

+ High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree in agriculture, horticulture, plant physiology, molecular biology, entomology, or plant pathology preferred.

+ 3+ years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.

+ Ability to pay close attention to detail and follow standard operating and safety protocols.

+ Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a high degree of self-motivation and a positive attitude.

+ Basic computer skills preferred, including MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook), and ability to gain competency with internally-developed research software.
