Job Summary:

Mission Children's is seeking a pediatric /newborn hospitalist to join our engaged and passionate group of providers.

Qualified Candidates:

* Board certified / board eligible in pediatrics
* This is a hybrid position working in both a Pediatric Hospitalist and Newborn Hospitalist capacity

About Mission Children's:

Mission Children's is the region's only children's hospital covering western North Carolina with 60 pediatric subspecialists in 23 different disciplines

* 51-bed, Level-III NICU staffed by our Neonatology team
* 34 bed Mother Baby Unit
* 19 bed Pediatric Unit
* 9 Bed PICU staffed by our Pediatric Intensivist team
* Opportunity to work with MAHEC Family Medicine Residents and UNC Medical Students
* Strong MFM program and new MFM Fellowship; good relationships with OBs and MAHEC OB/GYN Residency
* An average of 3,000 patient admissions to our pediatric inpatient units
* Approximately 4000 deliveries per year
* Approximately 4,500 pediatric surgeries, and 14,000 pediatric visits to our emergency department per year
* Dedicated infant transport team serving a 55-county area
