The Mammography Technologist performs specialized examinations of the breast to help in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.
* Prepares patients and performs screening or diagnostic exams as ordered by physicians. Also responsible for performing bone densitometry studies.
* Produces high quality images with appropriate comparison studies as indicated to the Radiologist in a timely manner.
* Demonstrates a high level of technical competency (utilization of imaging system and safe operating procedures) and clinical competency (patient positioning, knowledge of anatomy/physiology) in performing all exams/ procedures.

Fauquier Health is a 97-bed acute care hospital offering surgical services (including robotics), a 24-hour Emergency Department, extensive medical imaging capabilities, an Intensive Care Unit and much, much more. The Fauquier Health system offers patient care for a variety of specialty services including Orthopedics and Spine, a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and robotic-assisted surgery. Preferred - 1 years of experience as a registered technologist in the appropriate modality
