This critical role is based in our Stafford, TX location, where you will lead all aspects of the development, management, and implementation of the Stafford facility's EHS program and ensuring its regulatory compliance.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
* Be a safety leader with high levels of communication in the front office and production floor to ensure all employees know, understand, and implement safe work practices by observing and mentoring employees.
* Plan and implement safety procedures, programs, and file regulatory reports in compliance with the local, state, and federal agencies and assist with the record-keeping and manuals for these programs (including but not limited to): OSHA, TCEQ, EPA, DOT, etc.
* Ensure compliance with internal Emerson EHS performance standards, objectives, and regulations and perform safety audits to avoid potential OSHA findings and review of discharge monitoring reports, hazardous waste report, surveys, and other documents and correspondence submitted to regulatory agencies.
* Draft and assist in the preparation of permit and renewal applications, responses to notices of deficiency, notices of violations, surveys, reports, and any other requests from environmental agencies.
* Conduct objective incident investigations, develop cause-analysis of accidents, and follow up on any appropriate corrective measures.
* Work with Leadership to establish site-specific annual objectives for safety, environmental, industrial hygiene, and worker's compensation improvements.

For This Role, You Will Need:
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field
* 5 years or more of relevant EHS experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment with increased responsibilities
* Practical knowledge of regulatory requirements as it pertains to Environmental Protection Agency, OSHA and TCEQ
* Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
* Certified Safety Professional
* HAZWOPER certification (current)
* OSHA 30 hour in General Industry and/or Construction
* DOT certification (current)
* RCRA Federal and Texas (current)
