The School Psychologist is a uniquely qualified member of school teams that support students' ability to learn. They apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior, to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. School psychologists partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community. The person in this position provides direct and indirect services to students and participates as a member of the Student Support Team and clinical team that serves all students at Glenbrook South through the Student Services Department and through Special Education.
  1. Master's Degree with EdS Certification
  2. Professional Educator License with the School Psychologist Endorsement
  3. Minimum of one year experience in a high school setting preferred
  4. Board Certified Behavioral Analyst Certified preferred
  5. Experience in supporting students with low-incidence disabilities
  6. Current knowledge pertaining to best practices in student services programming, discipline, attendance, crisis management, mental health support, school counseling, and Special Education.
