Description

Established for over 50 years, Yamazen Inc. is a leading importer and distributor of quality CNC manufacturing machinery, including machine tools and injection molding machines. We service manufacturers in the automotive, aerospace, construction equipment, medical, and I.T. industries.

Opportunity:

We are seeking a Regional Service Supervisor to directly oversee communication between customers and Service Technicians to address open technical problems that require a customer visit.

Position Responsibilities:
  • The RSS makes sure that the correct Service Technician is assigned to an issue, so that it can be resolved in a timely manner.
  • The RSS visits job sites to confirm a ST's ability to handle the work efficiently, and to assist as necessary.
  • To accomplish optimal utilization and efficiency, the RSS assesses ST capability overall and assures the development of individual STs through training. When the RSS cannot conduct the training on his/her own, it is his/her responsibility to find other resources.
  • The RSS must ensure that Work Orders are of excellent quality upon completion, and that accurate invoicing is accomplished without delay.
  • While formally reporting to the National Service Manager (NSM), the RSS has dotted-line responsibility to the Regional VP or Regional GM in the assigned area(s). This means that a mutual understanding of priorities must be achieved, either day-to-day or in general.
  • The RSS must work effectively with our major vendors (Brother, Matsuura, Takisawa, and Nidec) as well as our accessory suppliers.
  • The RSS is key to the performance evaluation of each ST within his/her jurisdiction.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:
  • The preferred candidate will possess a strong service background that includes direct experience in troubleshooting and repair of major CNC machine systems, with the ability to read part diagrams and schematics.
  • Technical experience, preferably with course work and/or a degree.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Quick at learning, teaching, and implementing systems and software.
  • Strong team building and collaborative working skills.
  • Superlative communication skills. Positive and purposeful leadership.
  • Must be able to travel regionally every week to visit office(s), individual ST's, Sales management, customers, and vendors.
