JOB TITLE: X-Ray Tech

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

* Prepares patients for radiological procedures in the surgical suite following established procedures for patient care and safety
* Performs high quality radiologic imaging on patients in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care
* Ensures continual radiation safety
* Safeguards that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
* Works closely with surgeons and anticipates needs
* Download and save images to EHR
* Maintain daily schedule ensuring accurate record of case services
* Uses ALARA concept to minimize patient radiation doses, and documents exposure into the medical record
