The Lucas County Domestic Relations Court seeks dedicated professionals committed to serving families for the role of Court Counselor. This position entails conducting impactful custody evaluations, applying counseling expertise within a legal framework and serving as a crucial liaison between the court's judges and magistrates by providing comprehensive recommendations. Given the exposure to sensitive information, strict confidentiality is imperative for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

* Engage constructively with children and families, utilizing excellent interviewing and clinical skills.
* Produce comprehensive, organized reports in a timely manner.
* Maintain the utmost standards of confidentiality, neutrality, and professionalism.

Qualifications:

* Education: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
* Licensure: Current and valid LISW, LPCC, or equivalent Ohio license.
* Experience: Minimum of three years' experience working with adults and children in clinical, school, or similar settings. Prior experience in mediation and forensic settings preferred.

Special Requirements:

* Pre-employment screening including employment reference checks and criminal background checks are mandatory; drug testing and skills assessments may be required.

Salary:

* $69,690.56
