POSITION SUMMARY

Radiology Partners is seeking a Mammography Technologist who will deliver quality patient care during a mammography procedure by exhibiting patience and a thorough knowledge of the examination.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Operates equipment efficiently and accurately
* Communicates and explains procedure with patient
* Gather patient history if applicable prior to the exam
* Communicates with radiologists and personnel within other practices concerning patients
* Documents patient care services using HER
* Ensures operation of equipment
* Performs required cleaning of room and equipment before each exam
* Perform patient reminder calls
* Schedule follow up appointments
* Performs other job duties as required or assigned
* Performs x-ray exams as needed

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* AART registry in both radiology and mammography
* Current CPR
* Working knowledge of the EHR and PACS system
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with physicians, health care professionals, and patients.
* Knowledgeable and proficient in all mammography procedures
