The Point72 Compliance department is an industry-leading team of compliance professionals that supports global investment and trading activities by establishing and enforcing the firm's compliance policies, providing real-time advice, and conducting pre and post trade surveillance. Our team is essential to the success of Point72, and our compliance professionals are embedded in investment professional and investment services teams across the organization.
About the Compliance Internship
If you are interested in pursuing a career in Compliance, this 10-week summer internship will provide you a valuable experience at a complex global firm. During your time with us, you will gain exposure to and build your knowledge base on:
* Interacting with traders and counterparties to resolve trading Compliance matters
* Enforcing the firm's Code of Ethics
* Liaising with regulatory entities around the globe
* Maintaining the firm's restricted list
* Monitoring the firm's positions for limits and/or disclosure filings
* Performing due diligence reviews on research providers, consultants, and trading counterparties
* Draft, update, and enforce the firm's Compliance and Trading policies
Summer Internship Program at Point72
In addition to the learning and development you'll receive in your day-to-day role with your team, as a part of our summer internship program you will:
* Work alongside your fellow interns and be mentored by experienced professionals
* Meet your peers through designated intern programming, volunteer opportunities, and social events
* Attend sessions with senior leaders discussing their expertise and career paths
* Get hands-on access to best-in-class tools and resources
* Gain exposure to groups and functions with unique responsibilities and perspectives on our industry
* Develop technical, writing, and presentation skills
What's required
* Expected Juris Doctorate degree in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026, or expected bachelor's degree in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong analytical, writing, verbal communication, and technical skills
* Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of the team
* Conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity at all times
* Commitment to the highest ethical standards
