OB Tech

Job Description

* The OB Surgical Technician provides patients with quality care during the surgical experience.
* The Technician is a member of the interdisciplinary team along with the RN, Surgeon, and Anesthesia Staff.
* The Technician directly works with the Surgeon to provide instrumentation, supplies and equipment for the surgical procedure.
* The OB Tech is responsible to assist the nurses with front desk responsibilities and being present for all deliveries.

Education:

Required: High School Diploma or GED

Recommended: Surgical Technician Program graduate

Experience:

Preferred: Surgical Technologist/Technician experience in a medical or hospital setting

Licenses/Certificates:

Required: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) - Due by COB on the last day of the month after one (1) full month of work.

Preferred: Certificate from Surgical Training Program
