FLSA Employment Status: Nonexempt/Hourly

HOURS: 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM with rotating weekends

Responsible for maintaining files and performing other clerical duties as required. Ensures proper maintenance of patient charts/records. Will provide general secretarial duties including basic correspondence, filing, and inputting data for reports on the basis of instructions from various members of the department.

Performs routine clerical duties including sorting, matching and filing according to detailed instructions. Maintains various records and logs. Uses PC, calculator and other standard office equipment to record, store and retrieve information. Makes minor corrections, codes items and maintains record of documents processed. Refers non-routine questions or work not clearly covered by instructions to supervisor

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Director of Radiology

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education

High school diploma or GED Equivalent required

Work Experience

Minimum of one (1) year experience in a medical office or hospital setting.

Previous file clerk experience is preferred.

License/Certification: N/A

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Prepares a variety of memos, forms, letters, and reports on the basis of information supplied by managers.

Composes simple, routine letters as assigned.

Operates computer, printer, copier, fax, and mailroom equipment.

Assists with answering telephone as required.

Assists with filing or retrieving information as required.

OTHER DUTIES

Is expected to master preparation of simple reports so that specific instructions are not routinely required.

Assists with non-routine projects according to specific assignments. May assists with patient routine requests related to office support

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
