Job Description:

* Meet required physical driver qualifications.


* Proficiency in English language for communication, signs, and documentation.


* Strong verbal skills, self-motivation, attention to detail, and goal-oriented.


* Analytical problem-solving for customer inquiries.


* Positive team player with adaptability.


* Ability to comprehend MSDS and perform lifting tasks.


* Must be able to drive Hazmat cargo for up to 8 hours, frequent bending is also required.


* Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.


* Must be able to work overtime when necessary.


* Outdoor work in varying temperatures.


* Operation of warehouse equipment including forklift and pallet jack.


* Adherence to safety regulations and policies.


* Valid driver's license and necessary endorsements.


* Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.


* Ability to maintain a drug-free workplace.


* Safely load/unload, deliver, and retrieve cylinders and hard goods.


* Maintain accurate load manifests and documents.


* Foster strong customer relationships, provide cost and delivery information.


* Monitor and adjust cylinder levels to prevent emergencies.


* Assist in inventory, housekeeping, and showroom tasks.



Qualifications and Competencies:

* Minimum age: 21 years.


* Must have a Class B or better Commercial Drivers' License with HAZMAT endorsement.


* Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.


* DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required.


* One year of experience driving similar commercial vehicles within the last five years or completion of an accredited truck driving school program.


* High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.


* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse individuals.


* Ability to work in a drug-free environment.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
