Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible to the director of the doctoral programs in clinical psychology for applying administrative processes necessary for ongoing operations of these doctoral programs.
  1. Doctoral Program Assessment.
    1. Consult and collaborate with the director of the doctoral programs in clinical psychology for ongoing self-study processes required for retaining APA accreditation.
    2. Coordinate the doctoral programs in clinical psychology's assessment data collection and reporting processes.
    3. Manage the institutional interface with external bodies.
  2. Doctoral Program Admissions.
    1. Contribute to the recruitment efforts of new students for the doctoral programs in clinical psychology.
    2. Coordinate the Doctoral Program Applicant Interview Day and Admission Processes.
    3. Interface with Graduate Student Services and School of Psychology program directors about Graduate Orientation day activities. Direct and manage the orientation process for new doctoral program students with the director of the doctoral programs in clinical psychology.
  3. Doctoral Program Community.
    1. Support and encourage Graduate Psychology Student Association (GPSA) to actively pursue its goals by communicating regularly with GPSA officers and scheduling monthly meetings in the Psychology Department calendar.
    2. Plan and facilitate student community gatherings, 1st year student retreat and annual Doctoral program faculty retreat with the director of the doctoral program.
    3. Manage the annual doctoral program banquet.

4. Doctoral Program Administration and Support.
  1. Coordinate the review and development of academic policies with the director of the doctoral programs in clinical psychology and the Admissions and Academic Requirements Committee and serve as ex-officio member of the committee.
    1. Manage the administration and recording of the milestones of the doctoral programs in clinical psychology.
    2. Conduct student evaluation processes for the semi-annual student evaluation process.
    3. Interface with Registrar's office & Academic Advising office
    4. Interface with the Financial Aid Department, particularly in clarifying status of students in the doctoral programs in clinical psychology program.
    5. Direct computerized data management systems for administrative and clinical training functions.
    6. Manage doctoral program course scheduling, in consultation with the School of Psychology leadership team.
  2. Marketing and Technology - collaborate with the director of the doctoral programs in the development and maintenance of the clinical psychology doctoral programs marketing materials working in concert with Graduate Programs and Marketing Communications Departments.
  3. Other duties as negotiated and assigned by the Director of the Doctoral Programs in Clinical Psychology.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Commitment to the mission of the doctoral programs in clinical psychology at Wheaton College.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Access are required.
  • Working knowledge of Jotform, Qualtrics, Time2Track, and Canvas is desired.
