INSPECT BUILDINGS AND PROPERTIES TO ENSURE AND ENFORCE COMPLIANCE WITH THE ELECTRICAL CODES OF THE CITY

PROVIDE LEAD SUPERVISION TO ELECTRICAL INSPECTORS IN THE PERFORMANCE OF ELECTRICAL INPSECTIONS; ADVISE AND PROVIDE INFORMTION REGARDING INSPECTION PROCEDURES AND FOLLOW-UP ACTION; PROVIDE TRAINING TO NEW EMPLOYEES

PERFORM ELECTRICAL INSPECTIONS OF INDUSTRIAL, COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS DURING VARIOUS STAGES OF CONSTRUCTION AND REMODELING TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH ELECTRICAL CODES AND REGULATIONS OF THE CITY

INTERPRET ELECTRICAL CODES FOR THE PUBLIC, CITY STAFF, CONTRACTORS, ARCHITECTS AND BUILDING OWNERS

REVIEW CONSTRUCTION PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH ELECTRICAL CODES; APPROVE OR REJECT PLANS

PREPARE DAILY REPORTS OF INSPECTIONS PERFORMED AND RESULTS OF INSPECTIONS

VERIFYING THE LICENSING AND REGISTRATION OF ELECTRICAL PERSONNEL AT CONSTRUCTION SITES; MAINTAIN RECORDS OF LICENSED ELECTRICAL PERSONNEL

ABILITY TO:

ANALYZE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS; IDENTIFY ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS AND PROJECT CONSEQUENCES OF PROPOSED ACTIONS

APPLY ELECTRICAL KNOWLEDGE AND FOLLOW PROPER INSPECTION TECHNIQUES TO EXAMINE WORKMANSHIP AND MATERIALS AND DETECT DEVIATIONS FORM PLANS, REGULATIONS AND STANDARD CONSTRUCITON PARACTICES
