Assistant Director of Athletic Communications

Assist in the positive promotion of Roanoke College Athletics. Direct sports information/promotion responsibility for multiple NCAA Division III teams and coordinate Maroon Club activities. This is a 12 month position that will begin on 7/1/2024.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist the Director of Athletic Communications in the maintenance of the following:
* Athletic website
* Athletic social media plan
* Statistical records


* Serve as the technical director for select video streaming efforts
* Attend all home athletic events for which we stream live
* Coordinator Camera and play-by-play commentary
* Troubleshoot video streaming operation


* Performs additional duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics Communications

Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

* Bachelor's degree required
* Knowledge and/or experience in NCAA division III athletics, particularly in the area of sports information, web page management, and video production.
* Proficient in desktop publishing and web content editing, including MS Office Applications, Stat Crew statistical software, and Adobe Premier software (InDesign and Photoshop)
* Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work with young adults while maintaining a high energy, professional attitude.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to get along well with diverse personalities while being tactful, mature, and flexible.
* Must be able to work evening and weekend hours
* Strong work ethic and ability to be a team player
