Primary Function:

Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing Operations. The Administrator Patient Care Services is a registered nurse who has competencies in utilizing a broad range of cues for prescribing and implementing both direct and indirect nursing care. Collaborates with other health care providers to maintain quality patient care based upon current standards. Ensures implementation and compliance of hospital policies and procedures on assigned shift. Serves as a shift designated nurse leader. Role responsibilities include administrative oversight when assigned, overall problem resolution, patient flow facilitation, and patient care delivery oversight.

  • Meets all standards of the Patient Satisfaction Initiative Criteria in order to make AMH/ALH the hospital of choice for patients and employees.
  • Serves as clinical resource regarding policy and procedures, patient standards, performance improvement and risk management.
  • Serves as a resource for Patient issues and concerns regarding issues related to patient satisfaction.
  • Oversees and facilitates staffing for the department of Nursing ensuring safe staffing for all of the areas.
  • Participates as a leader of the health care team to support the institution and department goals. Models behavior expected of all staff.
  • Performs other duties and complies with all AMH/ALH policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years of nursing experience required. Previous leadership experience preferred.

Education & Training: BSN required. MSN preferred.

License Certification and Registration: Current licensure as RN in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. CPR required.

Other Requirements: Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
