As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and passionate Infection Preventionist to join our team.

The infection preventionist is responsible for the facility infection prevention and control program (IPCP), which is designed to provide a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment and to help prevent the development and transmission of communicable diseases and infections.     

The Infection Preventionist (IP) is responsible for identifying, investigating, monitoring, and reporting healthcare associated infections in accordance with current federal, state, local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern such programs. The IP collaborates with teams and individuals to create and sustain infection prevention strategies and provide feedback.    

Develops education program in response to identified infection control needs identified through QAPI, rounding on units. Teaches staff current accepted resident care and community practices as they relate to infection control and prevention.

Assumes Infection Prevention Role to ensure our infection control program is maintained in accordance with all standards set forth by CDC and NJDOH and OSHA

Qualifications

·         Must possess a valid NJ RN State License.

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred

·         Supervising Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

·         Leadership Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

·         Three years of experience as an RN (Preferred)   

·         Clinical nursing experience within a nursing care center or other related healthcare setting

·         Completed specialized training in infection prevention and control through accredited continuing education.
