Intercare Recruitment has partnered with a medical center in Northeastern PA. They are looking for a Dentist to join a well established team.

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for delivery of quality dental care to patients of the Center. Performs professional dental care in the diagnosis and treatment of patients; assists Dental Director in developing and implementing the dental program.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an approved School of Dentistry License from State of PA BLS certified

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Examines individuals requesting care, diagnoses their dental/oral conditions, prescribes and carries out, or directs others in carrying out appropriate dental/oral treatment, or refers individuals for specialty consultation or treatment in conformance with approved clinical protocols and guidelines.
  2. Records patient-dentist transactions as they occur in the patients dental record to accurately and completely reflect the nature of the contact, the condition of the patient, and the care or treatment provided.
  3. Cooperating with professionals within both the Dental Department and other departments of the Health Center, and within the community-at-large to meet the needs of patients of the Health Center.
  4. Providing education and training for Health Center staff in areas of particular expertise with respect to the practice of dentistry.
  5. Participating with other appropriate personnel of the Health Center in the implementation and operation of an electronic dental record.
  6. Participating in conjunction with other appropriate personnel of the Health Center in the establishment and implementation of a sufficient dental data management and retrieval system.
  7. Serving as a representative of the Health Center before the dental community, professional organizations, public regulatory and administrative bodies, and within the community-at-large, as requested.
  8. Confer with and advise the Health Centers CEO and Dental Director concerning any rule, regulation or policy involving the Centers Dental Department.
  9. Performing in a timely and satisfactory manner all acts consistent with the Dentists duties and responsibilities as indicated in the Health Centers Employee Policy Statement and the Dentists job description as in 3 above.
  10. Undertaking all actions necessary or proper for the carrying out of any of the above described duties and responsibilities. In performing his/her functions in fulfillment of the aforementioned duties and responsibilities, the Dentist shall observe and comply with such rules, regulations and policies as may from time to time be determined by the Health Centers Board of Directors, CEO or Dental Director and communicated to all the Dentists in writing.
  11. Actively participate and contribute to the QA/QI Committee.
  12. Other duties as assigned.
