Duties and Responsibilities: Effectively manages personnel to include staffing, conflict resolution training and competency development and annual performance evaluations. Demonstrates sound financial management to include monitoring of budget, inventory control and cost efficiency/cost savings projects Effectively communicates with staff and builds rapport through staff meetings, education/training, interdepartmental activities, community service and customer relations Performs microscopic screening of gynecologic, non-gynecologic, and Fine Needle Aspirate (FNA) slide#preparations, for the detection of precancerous and cancerous conditions. Provides assistance#and adequacy assessment on Fine Needle Aspirate procedures. Writes and maintains current work instructions. Assist with development, maintenance and control of#policies and procedures. # Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies for inspection readiness. # Fulfills responsibilities for CLIA position as assigned. # Participates in the quality improvement requirements of the laboratory#s quality management system. Participates in proficiency testing activities. Assists with collection and reporting of quality data. # Responsible for technical consultation and problem resolution. Stays current with new technologie#and makes recommendations to management for improvements. Education/Qualifications:## #Minimum of# Bachelor#s Degree in Cytotechnology required. Registered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) with four years experience required.
