Our Northeast Region is seeking a Senior Airfield Electrical Inspector with leadership skills to be a part of the Aviation Line of Business. This individual will have an Electrical Engineering background with airside, landside and terminal expertise.

The duties associated with this position are comprehensive and include inspection, contractor oversight, client contact, and directing and planning of work.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

* Plans and coordinates all field electrical inspection activities.


* Oversees the work to ensure contractor compliance with contract requirements, client standards and specifications; ensuring only approved materials are incorporated into the project.


* Prepares summary weekly/monthly reports on progress related to airfield electrical work.


* Observes the quality and progress of electrical equipment and system installation; oversees materials and systems testing related to electrical equipment and systems.


* Reviews quantities and calculations for payment; takes measurements and gathers pertinent information necessary to compile monthly and final estimates and as-built record plans.


* Coordinates with other inspectors and supports Resident Engineer and other CM staff for work tasks related to electrical construction and systems installation.


* Maintains a log of daily activities and project records at the construction site as directed by the owner.


* Attends project meetings if required by the Resident Engineer.


* Supports Resident Engineer in analysis of claims and resolution of disputes.



Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Engineering degree in electrical engineering or closely related field required; or Electrical Engineering Certificate with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience.


* Minimum of 10+ years of experience in facilities systems electrical inspection.


* Experience in the execution of Aviation projects as an Electrical Inspector preferred.


* Knowledge of high, medium and low voltage airfield electrical distribution systems for power, lighting, communications, fire detection and alarms, fire suppression, security and emergency systems.


* Experience with PHL DOA, PANYNJ, or other local transportation agencies preferred.
