Responsibilities

* Maintains patient safety.
* Transportation of patients to and from the department.
* Handling telephone scheduling of inpatients and outpatients.
* Responsible for calling the physician with the report of the exam.
* Must be able to start an IV line to administer contrast fluid.
* Must demonstrate knowledge of contrast media injections and reactions.
* Will participate in performance improvement initiatives.
* Will assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day to day operation of the department.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

* 2 year/ Associate Degree
* Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (A.R.R.T.) or be registry eligible
* If registry eligible upon hire, must become registered within one year of employment and maintain their registry while employed.
* BLS Certification
* 1 - 3 years as a Radiological Technologist
* 1 year minimum as a CT Technologist w/Cardiac general CT and CTA

Preferred Job Requirements

* Advanced certification in CT
