Job Essentials

* Provides screening, diagnostic assessments, habilitative, and rehabilitative audiological services to all populations from newborn to geriatric patients.
* Documents all services and patient interactions according to current policies, procedures, and guidelines.
* Provides education to patients and families concerning results of services provided. Provides recommendations for continued care.
* Participates in quality improvement initiatives.
* Participates in program development and marketing, as assigned.
* Ensures financial viability of department through following established documentation and billing guidelines.
* May mentor new staff and students.

Minimum Qualifications

* Master's degree in Audiology. Education must be obtained from an accredited program. Degree will be verified.
* Licensure by the state in which hired to practice Audiology.
* Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Preferred Qualifications

* Doctoral degree in Audiology.
* Background in specialized area as specified in a medical setting.

Physical Requirements:

Hearing/listening, manual dexterity, seeing, sitting, speaking, standing, lifting, pulling/pushing, and walking.
