WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The position entails performing quality control testing on the raw materials supplied to the production site by testing the moisture content, cleanliness, and gradation of those materials to insure it meets all industry standards. After the concrete is produced at the production site, quality control testing will be performed by testing the concrete temperature, slump, air content and yield to insure it meets each customer's desired specifications. Based on customer/contractor demands, may work 8-12 hours a day, two or more Saturdays a month, and possible night work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work directly with State and County personnel
- Maintain material compliance in accordance with MN/DOT standard specifications for construction
- Maintain plant records for MNDOT compliance
- Assist the ES Coordinator or Plant Technician Supervisor in any duties related to MN/DOT
- Sampling of materials for quality control
- Run temperature, slump, air content and/or yield tests as instructed
- Maintain plant records for compliance
Qualifications:
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle.
- Punctual.
