Neuropsychologist-CRH - PD

Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital (CRH) provides comprehensive medical rehabilitation services - both inpatient and outpatient - to empower people with disabilities to achieve optimum quality of life. CRH serves people with brain and spinal cord injury, stroke and stroke-related disorders, musculoskeletal dysfunction, chronic pain, and other neurological and complex orthopedic conditions. Provides psychological assessment and treatment, and neuropsychological assessment. Reviews charts, pre-admit information and prior medical records in preparation for assessment and treatment. Provides brief or more in-depth assessments based on the relevant clinical issues. For neuropsychological assessments, makes brief initial summaries in the patient's chart on the day of assessment and ensures the full assessment is filed in the medical record within 72 hours of the completion of the assessment. Provides leadership in the treatment of brain injured patients, and education to and coordination with the patient care team for conducting effective behavioral interventions for agitated and brain injured patients. Consults with team members and patients/caregivers to facilitate an understanding of assessment results

and treatment plans.

EDUCATION

Minimum: Possess an earned doctorate in clinical psychology from a university or school of professional psychology with specialization academically, and post doctoral training in neuropsychology

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Minimum: Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of California. AHA BLS Certified.

YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum: 2 years post-doctorate clinical experience, at least 1 of which is in an interdisciplinary team setting and where neuropsychology is practiced regularly
