Summary

* POSITION INFORMATION
* Position summary:
* Incumbent acts as lead for Communication Operators in the Communications department which operates 24/7. Incumbent performs all duties of the Communication Operator and supplements or backs up the Operators as required. Incumbent is responsible for training, supervising, mentoring, and evaluating Communication Operator. Incumbent oversees daily operations of the Communications department including staff scheduling. Incumbent interviews and evaluates Communication Operator job candidates. Incumbent monitors performance of the Operators and the call center. Incumbent performs performance evaluations of the Communication Operators and implements disciplinary action as required. Incumbent participates on hospital committees involving safety / emergency notifications and implements new procedures as they relate to the Communications department. Incumbent acts a primary administrator of the department's computerized call management system. Incumbent acts as primary customer contact for clients of the Health Center's answering service and addresses client issues and needs.






* MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Education:
* Minimum high school diploma required with Associates degree preferred.




* Required length and type of experience:
* Five years experience in a healthcare call center environment including two years experience as a team lead or coordinator with supervisory responsibilities. Two years experience administering a computerized call management system with responsibility for developing call center statistics.




* Required licensure, certification or registry:
* Formal training, and/or membership in a professional call center association preferred (CIAC, ICMI, HDI)
