Description:

There are several areas of Pt. Registration. Currently, there are openings in ER Registration and the Women's Center. ER Registration is 12-hour shifts and the Women's Center is 8-hour shifts. Weekend availability may be required.

These are full-time positions, and eligible for benefits, which start on the first day of employment.

What you will do:

* Register patients by obtaining necessary and accurate financial and demographic information.
* Receive, investigate and respond to various inquiries and questions in a pleasant and helpful manner.
* Determine the financial status of the patient and or guarantor and complete all financial/insurance related functions and signatures.
* Communicate with third party payors, obtain insurance benefits and obtain insurance authorizations.
* Collect money due from patient at admission, or in ER setting, prior to discharge.
* Complete all necessary reports.
* Communicate with Case Management, Patient Financial Services and Self/Pay/Medicaid eligibility Team and all other departments when appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED required
* Associate's degree preferred or process of obtaining one (preferred)
* Must possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

Licensure:

* None required; Certified Patient Account Technician CPAT preferred
