Overview

This is a PRN position

Expected pay for this position is $35.33 - $46.24/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

PRN, shift hours are 8:00am-4:30pm; 9:00am-5:30pm, 8:00am-6:30pm; Saturday shift of 8:30am-5:00pm

POSITION SUMMARY:

The MRI Technologist cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality images for radiologist interpretation. In addition the MRI Technologist is responsible for EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations. Complies with all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

* Associates Graduate from Accredited school of Radiologic Technology or MRI accredited program. (Have to be ARRT eligible)
* ARRT (MR) Advanced certification in MRI one year after hire if not currently registered.
* BLS certification - American Heart Association

Other skills/knowledge:

* Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

License/Certifications:

* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R)) registered.

Experience:

* 2 years radiography experience. 1 year MRI experience.

Other requirements/information: Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress in order to gather and exchange routine patient information with peers, nursing, radiologist and provider.
