TITLE: Maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be in good health and capable of fulfilling assigned duties and tasks.

2. Must be able and willing to learn new aspects of the job.

3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

REPORTS TO: Principal

JOB GOALS: To provide students and staff with safe, natural environment in which to learn.

LEVEL OF RESONSIBILITY:

The Principal will assign work orally or through the use of work orders. The maintenance worker selects tools and decides on methods and techniques to use, and carries out assignments.

MAJOR DUTIES:

1. Must be able to perform the necessary analysis of every aspect of the facilities for the Oglala Lakota County Schools.

2. Must be able to develop plans for the repairing/fixing or development of facilities, along with the principals, superintendent and business manager.

3. Must plan and implement those functions involving the Oglala Lakota County facilities including the necessary steps to resolve problems in the areas of carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, electrical or other needed aspects of maintenance.

4. Must be knowledgeable and aware of any and all safety procedures, building codes, and environmental codes required to successfully accomplish the duties of this position.

5. Assist with Snow removal on sidewalks, parking lot, and District property.

6. Completes other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year will be established by the Oglala Lakota County School Board.

EVALUATION: The Principal will evaluate performance of this job
