Clinical Behavioral Specialist - Adult Population

Serves as a state-operated center offering services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The center is known for providing a range of support services, including residential care and vocational training, tailored to meet the unique needs of those under its care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, addressing activities of daily living and personal hygiene
  • Implement behavior support plans and strategies, collaborating with behavioral specialists to address challenging behaviors in accordance with the provided protocols
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions, behaviors, and interventions
  • Use restraint and de-escalation techniques when necessary

Qualifications:
  • Must have prior Direct Care or Mental Health experience, or experience with ADLs
  • Must be CPR certified or willing to get the certification
  • Should be at ease with restraint and de-escalation procedures
  • Demonstrated empathy and patience in working with individuals with behavioral challenges
