QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Valid Mississippi teaching certificate with endorsement in administration or supervision preferred
  2. At least three years of teaching experience
  3. Such alternative to the aforementioned qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable
  4. Proficient skills in leadership, organization, interpersonal skills, and instructional technology

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be established by the School Board

REPORTS TO: Principal

JOB GOALS: Utilize data to help teachers in developing effective teaching strategies for all students and in improving instructional decisions at the classroom/school level

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Such duties as may be assigned, including but not limited to, the following:
  1. Meets all professional conduct standards as set by MS Educator Code of Ethics Standards of Conduct
  2. Utilizes instructional modeling, classroom observations, coaching, and feedback for teacher growth
  3. Helps teachers in classroom organization/preparation, data analysis, and instructional strategies
  4. Ensures, on behalf of the principal, the implementation of curriculum and alignment to pacing, lesson plans, instructional delivery, and assessment
  5. Mentors teachers, providing feedback regarding all aspects of academics: instruction, classroom management, and interactive classroom environment
  6. Supports and guides teachers in the Three Tier/RtI process and methods of intervention
  7. Supports and guides teachers in making instructional decisions based on current student data
  8. Engages in effective and relevant personal growth/development
  9. Attends trainings and meetings when requested by school and district administration
  10. Assists in/conducts district-wide or school site trainings as needed
  11. Supports the district curriculum teams including vertical alignment and MTSS
  12. Supports teachers in adequately meeting the differentiated instructional needs of all students
  13. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
  14. Follows the District Instructional Management Plan including the Multi-Tiered System of Supports
  15. Collaborates with other faculty and staff, parents, the building principal, and district support staff
  16. Participates in professional growth activities monitored through the MS Professional Growth System
  17. Reports on time to duty posts and performs duty responsibilities as assigned by school administration
  18. Follows all board policies and procedures
  19. Maintains regular attendance and is punctual
  20. Promotes the district's vision, mission, and goals
  21. Performs any other duties as assigned by school administration
