MST Clinical Supervisor

I) Job Purpose
The Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Clinical Supervisor supervises, trains, and supports licensed therapists and credentialed Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP) to provide intensive and frequent intervention services to families with children and youth who have intensive behavioral and/or mental health needs. This role ensures adequate 24/7 staffing to meet the needs of families served. This role monitors the team's metrics and performance measures. The MST Clinical Supervisor will impact families, children, youth, so that children and youth increase positive pro social behavior and relationships in their home and community.
II) Essential Functions
A) Supervise one MST team and their implementation of the Multisystemic Therapy programing according to funding source requirements, MST fidelity, MHMR guidelines, and supervisor coaching and guidance.
B) Onboard and train new hires on MST requirements and support on-going training for current staff to develop skills, knowledge, and practice for population served.
C) Has 24/7 on call responsibilities after traditional hours (weekends and evenings) according to schedule. On call includes doing community or home visits.
D) Lead and provide training and guidance to team members on clinical and administrative topics/issues and assist with implementing the structured, analytical, evidence-based process that characterizes MST through weekly individual supervision and group supervision (2-4 therapists/group).
E) Provide reflective supervision regularly with MST to build resiliency and self-care amongst team members.
F) Mitigate conflict amongst team members to maintain a trauma-informed working environment for employees and a comfortable/safe space for persons served by following agency guidelines and HR proceedings.
G) Schedules and facilitates regular supervision and teaming meetings.
H) Serves as QMHP supervisor for Crisis staff by documenting and providing quarterly training, supervision, and record reviews.
I) Provide direct care services as requested/needed by supervisor. Document services by established timelines and with accuracy.
J) Receive regular supervision and reflection. Receive feedback and act on. Self-evaluate/assess and share with supervisor regularly.

L) Performs other job duties or responsibilities as requested or assigned.
III) Knowledge of Laws, Regulations, Policies/Procedures, Skills, and Abilities
A) Knowledge of typical, atypical, and disordered development, and medical diagnoses and conditions impacting children and youth prenatally through age 17.
B) Knowledge of eligibility requirements and services provided.
C) FERPA and HIPPA compliance
D) Communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to maintain clear and concise documentation.
E) Analytical and time-management skills or ability to be flexible and productive at a fast pace and produce quality work. Ability to think clearly under pressure and to perform effectively in high stress situations.
F) Knowledge of protective factors and family-strengthening strategies. Ability to see family and ecology as the principal client.
G) Ability to multitask, maintain focus, and complete assigned tasks within defined timelines. Able to identify patterns from information provided.
H) Use of coaching and/or motivational interviewing and trauma-informed approaches while building capacity of children, youth, families, co-workers, and teams.
I) Knowledge of Texas laws regarding reporting adult and child abuse/neglect.
J) Working knowledge of community resources and case management principles.
K) Ability to proficiently operate a computer, software, and systems such as: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint; myAvatar; UKG/Kronos; Teams; VPN; Salesforce, AgencyFinder and FINDConnect.
L) Knowledge of mental health assessment techniques and principles of Crisis Intervention.
M) Working knowledge of psychopathology and DSM V classes of major mental illness.
N) High level of advocacy/arbitration/negotiation/conflict resolution skills.
O) Knowledge of all applicable standards for the Crisis Services Department including, but not limited to, CARF, 1115, Performance Contract, Info Item V, TAC, CCBHC, and more.
P) Ability to provide leadership consistent with the ideals of the Crisis Services Department (namely Servant Leadership, 360 Leadership, and more).
Q) Ability to organize work independently. Ability to work independently without or with limited supervision.
R) Strong clinical background in the specific treatment modalities implemented in the context of MST (cognitive behavioral approaches with individuals, strategic, structural, and functional family therapy, parent-child behavior management, family, ecological, cognitive-behavioral, behavioral).
IV) Internal & External Customer Service

C) Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers, including families, characterized by mutual support, open communication, trust, and respect. Always considering what is best for families in decisions about treatment and support.
D) Discuss uncomfortable and potentially conflict-producing, stressful topics in a professional and effective manner with internal and external customers and maintain courteous interaction.
E) Must demonstrate compassion, trauma-informed care, and safety practices including suicide safe care.
V) Travel
A) Adhere to MHMR Mileage and Travel reimbursement policy and any other aspect regarding travel.
B) This position may require periodic travel within service delivery area to home, school and community-based visits or meetings. Refer to addendum for specific travel requirements.

A) Minimum Education: Master's Degree
B) Defined Education: Counseling or Social Work
C) Preferences: Spanish Speaking

E) Years' Experience: Four (4) years
F) Defined Experience: Health and Human services field with a minimum of one (1) year practicing as an associate licensed therapist (LMSW, LPC-A or LMFT-A)
G) License/Certifications: Current licensure in the state of Texas as an, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT, LMFT-A, LPC-A, LMSW.
H) Special Courses: None
I) Supervisory Experience: None
VIII) Agency Requirements
A) All staff are required to participate in agency Emergency Preparedness and Environmental Safety programs and may be assigned by their department as a key/essential staff level function during critical events or for the purpose of sustaining business continuity.
B) This position may require temporary or permanent re-assignment to any MHMR Tarrant facility as determined by program needs and/or the Division/Director.
C) Assigned work hours may change as the needs of the agency change.
D) The Functional Title of this position may change as the needs of the agency change.
E) All work will be completed within the scheduled work hours. All non-exempt (hourly) employees are expected to clock in and clock out for each work shift, no work should be done off the clock.
F) MHMR reserves the right to change, add to or eliminate positions as it deems appropriate.
G) Employment is at will, as well as agency needs may change.
H) Agency dress code is to be followed at all times.
I) Physical on-site presence, including regular attendance and punctuality, is an essential function of this position. Any changes or adjustments to your assigned work schedule or shift hours must be approved by your supervisor in advance.
