Job Summary:

Proficient in all invasive and non-invasive ultrasound procedures, including diagnostic imaging, portable, and vascular exams.

Operating knowledge of all ultrasound equipment and computer-based systems.

Perform sonographic exams of the highest quality, providing accurate interpretation and detailed patient histories.

Maintain good communication with Ultrasound Supervisor, radiologists, co-workers, patients, and other staff.

Adhere to hospital and department safety and compliance policies and procedures.

Wear identification badge at all times and complete annual health, safety, and compliance reviews.

Act as a Steward for Safety and report any unsafe conditions.

Monitor own work to ensure quality and participate in continuous quality improvement.

Explain tests, procedures, and services to patients to ensure thorough understanding.

Treat co-workers as teammates, develop trust and credibility, and provide helpful, courteous, timely, and accurate responses.
