Find your purpose as an Ophthalmic Technician at CentraCare Health where you will assist doctors promptly in patient care and communicate follow up items with patients This is a full-time position, working 72-80 hours every two weeks, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.

What you'll do:

* Responsible for daily patient care and flow of clinic activities. Position requires good understanding of ophthalmic practice and patient care.
* Assess common safety hazards and take precautions to establish a safe work environment.
* Communicate with patients, co-workers and managers.
* Under the direction of the Ophthalmologist or Optometrist or physician, performs various procedures.
* May be required to follow and observe provider(s) for intermittent or extended periods of time to accurately document every aspect of the patient encounter.
* Assist with the efficiency of the provider(s) by complying with the location-specific workflows.

What you'll have:

* Knowledge of medical instrumentation and its proper care and usage needed.
* Previous experience or training in Ophthalmology or related field.
* Successful completion of JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Assistant among hire within 1 1/2 Years.
